Utah Weeds and Wildflowers
Marshes, Meadows and Moist Places
Wetlands may be found at any elevation, and in many shapes and sizes -- tiny streamlets flowing from a melting snow bank, a creek rushing down a steep canyon, a slow stream meandering through marshy meadows, a lake surrounded by woodlands, a shallow pond gradually drying up in the summer heat.
Even if they are only seasonal and intermittent, all of these have an effect upon the kinds of plants that grow near them.
