Twinberry
(Lonicera involucrata)

This is a woody shrub that grows in damp shady areas of our high mountains. The flowers occur in pairs. They are surrounded by maroon or rose colored bracts.

Later, the shiny black berries develop. They are not poisonous, but have an unpleasant taste.
