The few times I have seen these small plants they have been growing in moist areas at high elevations.
The flower heads are very small (about 1/4 inch across), but a cluster of
them grow close together on each stem.
There are several species. Many of them have leaves covered with
silvery gray woolly hairs. Some have colored flower heads like the one pictured below (Rose Pussytoes -- Antennaria rosea).
