Jacob's Ladder

Jacob's Ladder
or White Polemonium
(Polemonium foliosissimum or albiflorum)

Grows in soil that is rich and medium-dry. The plant is a dense clump about 2 feet high. The leaves are deeply dissected, and supposedly resemble the ladder that was used by Jacob in the Bible.

Each blossom is about 1 inch in diameter, and is white with yellow stamens.
