Short-Style Bluebells
(Mertensia brevistyla)

This beautiful little plant blooms on our foothills in early spring. The blossoms are only about a quarter inch across, but their intense blue hue makes them stand out.

Each blossom (as in all Borages) has a corolla of five fused petals.
