Wild Phlox
(Phlox longifolia)
These plants grow on dry hillsides and along the sides of roads.
Each plant usually has many blossoms. The blossoms can vary in
color from white, through pink, to lavender. Each flower is
about 3/4 inch in diameter.
This photo was taken in Red Butte Canyon, Salt Lake County,
Utah. It is probably Phlox longifolia, because my reference
books say that it is the most common here.
