Elaine Steadman Watkins unexpectedly returned home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002. She was born May 18, 1934, in Bennion, Utah, to Albert Walter and Oneda Tischner Steadman.

Elaine married her eternal companion, Jack P. Watkins, on July 10, 1952, in the Manti Temple. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Elaine was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served in several ward and stake callings. Most recently she served as Stake Relief Society secretary and, with her husband, as Church Service Missionaries at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

She was employed for many years at Steadman’s Recreation, the business which her father started. Elaine’s life was spent giving service to others. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
