Most memorable experience at Tooele High School:
The swimming coach helping me to overcome my fear of water.
Going to class outside (by band class room), where there was ice from water running off the roof, and trying to stand up on it, and falling. I admired those who ran on it, and slid.

Favorite teachers/class:
Mr. Lee, and also Mrs. Lee. He encouraged me, and gave me a pat on the back for a job well done.

Brief update on life since leaving Tooele High School:
Worked with my dad, delivering babies, during 1952 to 1954.

Married Charles Radford in April 1954 -- been married to one man for 48 years. We lived in Washington state while he was in service.

We had our first girl (Kathleen) in October, 1955. Our son Charles Jr. was on the way when we moved back to Indiana in 1956. He was born February 8,1957. William came along one year and 10 months later (December 22, 1958). Then Colleen was born January 22, 1965.

I was a den mother for my boys for 7 years. Received many awards for my participation in the program. My husband got one two years later, as scout master of his troop. It was the highest award in the district, bestowed on the leaders. Our two boys obtained their Eagle badges.

Worked as a Sunday School teacher. Was treasurer secretary for 2 years, and the president of the New Ross Home Economics Club for two years. I then started my home health care work -- my mother-in-law first, and I was called home several times to help with my own mother. Between these jobs, I baby-sat children. I then helped with my father-in-law, who was bedfast the last days of his life. This was how I got into the health care business. I worked for 9 or 10 years. It was a wonderful learning experience. I loved my people. I'm now retired, just keeping busy at one thing or other.
