Val Gene Bertoch, 75, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009. He was born January 24, 1934 in Salt Lake City, to James Alton Bertoch and Margaret Ann Meik Bertoch. Val married Linda Jensen on January 6, 1960 in Reno, NV. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
He loved camping and fishing with his family. Through these experiences he has left us with many happy and fond memories. As dad says, "I take your love with me. I leave my love with you. I take your memories with me. I leave my memories with you."
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Jodie (Scott) Palmer, James (Rachel) Bertoch, Valerie (Matt) Hunter, Marnie (Todd) Hadock, Linda (Will) Fleming, Sherrie (Mike) Allgrunn; 21 grandchildren and one great grandson; sisters, Janice (Keith) Ward and Judy (Ron) Jensen. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Palmer.
